Formation of Chhattisgarh Tribal Advisory Council
Tribal Advisory Council has been constituted by the Government of Chhattisgarh to recommend policies related to Scheduled Tribes. The Chairman of the Council is the Honorable Chief Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh and the member is the Honorable Minister, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department. MLAs of the tribe have been nominated as members of the council. In the Advisory Council meeting, policy decisions/recommendations have been made related to many small and big problems related to Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
Scheduled Tribes Commission

Keeping in mind the population of Scheduled Tribes in the state of Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribe Commission has been constituted by the Honorable Chief Minister. The notification of formation has been issued by the General Administration Department vide Notification No. 186/2000, dated 12.11.2000. According to the provisions of the State Scheduled Tribe Commission Act-1995, a three-member commission has been constituted. At present the post of Chairman and Member of the Commission is vacant.

Responsibilities of the Commission:-

1. To qualitatively evaluate the social, economic and development works related to Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
2. To make appropriate policy recommendations for promoting the interests of Scheduled Tribes.
3. Taking suo motu cognizance of any matters related to Scheduled Tribes and informing the government about its findings.

State Scheduled Castes Commission

Scheduled Castes Commission has been constituted to act as a watchdog of the interests of Scheduled Castes in the state. At present, Honorable Shri Ramji Bharti is the Chairman of the Commission. And the post of member is vacant.

State backward class commission

According to the provisions of Chhattisgarh State Backward Class Commission 1995, for continuous identification and investigation of OBC castes, giving suggestions for canceling fake caste certificates, providing benefits of government facilities and acting as a watchdog of the interests of this class. Dr. on the post of President. Shri Siyaram Sahu is posted. And the post of member is vacant.

 

Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission

 

Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission:-

Formation of Chhattisgarh State Minorities Commission from 12 July 2001 by order number D-1932/2717/A.J.No.-/2001, Raipur dated 12.07.2001 of the Ministry of Tribal Caste, Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and Minority Welfare Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. Has been done The current Chairman of the Commission is Haji Inayat Ali.
Waqf board

According to the provisions of Waqf Board Act 1995, Chhattisgarh. State Waqf Board has been constituted. The main functions of the Waqf Board are maintenance of mosques, madrassas, cemeteries and dargahs, Idgah, following the instructions under the Central Waqf Board Act-1995, and conducting the election of mutawallis. The Waqf Board has the post of Chairman, Honorable Salam Rizvi and 05 members.

State Urdu Academy

Urdu Academy has been formed by the notification of the State Government dated 01.10.2003. The work of the Academy is to make necessary efforts for the promotion and preservation of Urdu language, education and Urdu literature in the state of Chhattisgarh, publishing new creative/critical Urdu literature, holding literary conferences, discussions, seminars, providing financial help to sick writers, etc. At present the posts of Chairman and Member are vacant.

TRIBAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING INSTITUTE

At the time of formulation of the first five-year plan of the Government of India, due to lack of socio-economic status, customs, way of life and other cultural and research facts of the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes, due to difficulties in planning for the development of these sections, the Government of India In the year 1954, instructions were given to the state governments of undivided Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar and West Bengal to establish tribal research and training institutes under the centrally sponsored scheme.

In view of the population of tribals in the state, as per the recommendation of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the 15th Tribal Research Institute of the country was established in the state on 02.09.2004 under the centrally sponsored scheme by the state government.

The main functions of Tribal Research Institute are as follows:-

1. To conduct basic socio-economic and cultural studies and surveys related to Scheduled Tribes.
2. Studying the problems prevalent among the Scheduled Tribes and giving suggestions to the government to solve them.
3. Preservation of tribal culture.

4. To evaluate the schemes run by the government for the development of Scheduled Tribes.
5. In the context of the representations received regarding inclusion in the list of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes, to conduct ethnological and anthropological tests of the castes and give opinion to the government.

6. To organize national level workshops and seminars by inviting leading subject experts of the country to solve the problems of Scheduled Tribes.

7. Organizing training programs to provide information about various acts made for the protection of tribal interests and programs related to tribal development, etc.

Chhattisgarh State Intermediate Co-operative Finance and Development Corporation

Chhattisgarh State Antyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation, Raipur has been formed under Madhya Pradesh Cooperative Society (Reorganization and Construction) Ordinance No. 2000 (Madhya Pradesh Ordinance No. 04 of 2000). This corporation is discharging the responsibility of economic development of Scheduled Castes as well as Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes, Minorities and handicapped people of all classes.For training the unemployed youth of the state, all the units of the Entrepreneur Development Institute and training co-production centers have been merged into this corporation by the state government. The capital of this corporation is 51 percent state share capital and 49 percent central share capital share.Chhattisgarh by Corporation. Under the prescribed procedure, financial loan assistance is given for the economic upliftment of the beneficiaries falling within the prescribed criteria of the state, namely, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Disabled Class, Minority and Safai Workers class respectively.
