Departmental liability and work

obligation:-

1.To act as a watchdog for the protection of the rights of the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution and the interests of tribal areas.
2. Operation of schemes for educational and economic upliftment of Scheduled Castes/Tribes.
3. Providing budget allocation to various development departments for the implementation of tribal sub-plan and special component scheme, working as a nodal agency and monitoring the schemes.

4. Operation of educational institutions from primary to higher secondary level in the tribal sub-plan area.
5. Formulation and implementation of schemes for the development of special backward tribal groups.

6. To supervise, monitor and evaluate the schemes operated with special central assistance.
7. Operation of programs/schemes for the welfare of backward classes and minorities as per the instructions of the Government of India.

Work of the department:-

1. All administrative work related to departmental staff.
2. Implementation and monitoring of schemes related to the development of primitive castes, scheduled castes and backward classes.

3. Operation of educational institutions and educational development schemes in the sub-plan area.
4. To provide budget allocation for development schemes of tribal, scheduled caste and backward class. Implementation of development schemes for primitive castes, scheduled castes, backward classes and minority classes under demand numbers 33,41,15,64,77,49 and 82.

5. Continuous review of budget allocation received by various departments under Tribal Sub-Plan and Special Component Plan and monitoring of schemes.

6. Formulation, supervision and evaluation of schemes operated with special central assistance. Monitoring of operation of centrally sponsored and central regional schemes.

7. Formulation and implementation of schemes for the development of special backward tribal groups.

8. Verification of caste certificates of Scheduled Castes and Tribes.

9. Review of implementation of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 and Protection of Civil Rights 1995 in the state.
